Callie Daniels-Howell

Research Manager · PhD, MSc

International Children's Palliative Care Network · United States

Callie holds a PhD in Global Health and Anthropology from University College London, where her doctoral research used narrative and ethnographic methods to study child death and dying from childhood cancer in Kenya. Over eighteen months of fieldwork, she volunteered as a palliative care social worker and collaborated with families whose children died from cancer to co-produce insights that inform compassionate, culturally grounded care. Outside of her research experience, Callie has over a decade of experience in monitoring and evaluation, program management, and cross-cultural collaboration across Africa, Latin America, Europe, and the Caribbean. Her work is rooted in care-centred, community-engaged approaches, and she is passionate about advancing global access to children’s palliative and end of life care through evidence-based initiatives.
