I'm a pediatrician, pediatric intensivist and pediatric palliative care physician based in Fortaleza, Brazil. My clinical and research interests include pediatric and neonatal palliative care, the care of children with complex chronic conditions, integration of palliative care into intensive and hospital-based care, end-of-life decision-making, bioethics, communication and family-centred care. I have experience in developing pediatric palliative care services, conducting clinical and epidemiological research, supervising trainees and promoting education and research capacity in Brazil.
