Children's palliative care, where does it come from and for whom is this service? What is the difference between hospices for adults and hospices for children and youngsters? How many of these services does a country like Germany need? How are these institutions this work financed? These are the questions which shall be investigated in this article besides looking into the modern perception of child hospice work. Our vision, to make the word child hospice as popular known as the word kinder-garden, includes the intention to change the common perception of a house where to die. OSKAR, the 24/7 helpline, is introduced as a new and worldwide unique counselling service by telephone with anonymous participation, free of cost for young people with lifelimiting conditions, for their families, for people in bereavement and for health care workers.
