Gemma is a Senior Lecturer in Te Kura Tāpuhi (School of Nursing) at Waipapa Taumata Rau (University of Auckland) and a Children’s Community Nurse Specialist in Waitākere (Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand Waitematā District) with an extensive background in children’s palliative care. Gemma's research focuses on the lived experience of whānau/families caring for children with palliative care needs and models of care to promote culturally safe equitable care.
