Amrita Sarpal

I am a PICU consultant with dual training in PICU and pediatric palliative care. I have also been a fellowship training director in both Canada and Qatar and thus have an interest in postgraduate medical education. I recently completed my MA in biomedical and clinical ethics from the University of Leeds. My dissertation work focused on the ethics on organ donation following neurological death. My research interests include end of life care in the PICU, goals of care discussions, sharing life altering information, provision of potentially inappropriate (or non-beneficial treatment), postgraduate medical education, and the use of simulation and role playing in developing communication skills in goals of care discussions.
